Jamaican Mango Hummingbird at Rocklands Bird Sanctaury 30 minutes drive from Montego Bay.
- Hawk MWas absolutely wonderful.! Fritz was a GREAT host and answered every question we had. He also gave us a complete tour pointing out different birds and naming their specie. He also explained various plants and fruit trees growing on the property. He was a breath of fresh air and we had a wonderful time spending the morning with him feeding the national bird (The Doctor Bird) Edit: 1-10-20 We will most certainly be back again on our next trip to Jamaica.! Would not miss it.! And for those of you that complain about giving 20 bucks to go there. Maybe you should just stay in the states and go visit Mickey Mouse and see what that will cost you!! 20 bucks is a fair cost.!
- Evgeny GThe feeling when this tiny bird gets landed on your finger and eat sugar water from the bottle is inexpressible! And the sound they make when flying is something out of this planet! Worth see and feel! 20usd - entrance fee
JacquelineThis bird sanctuary isn't listed in the tourist brochures but it should be. If you want to be up close to nature and the birds (they roam freely), this is the place to be. It's off the beaten track but any local driver will be able to find it. You get to feed the Jamaican hummingbird and other birds native to Jamaica. A wonderful experience!
